This 120 day work authorization allows European and non-European workers to work in Switzerland for a maximum of four months during a year.
Between two 120 day work authorzations, the worker must spend at least two months abroad.
The workers mandate can consist in a three to four month employment in Switzerland, or multiple shorter mandates adding up to a total of four months maximum in a year.
The authorities in charge of delivering a 120 work authorization are those of the canton in which the worker is employed. If the mandate must take place in multiple cantons, the authorities of the first employment canton remain in charge.
The work contract must state the employment’s aim and duration.
